COACHES´ REACTIONS
Luke Browne (GBR): “I wouldn’t say today’s game was perfect, especially our start. Like in several matches during this tournament, we came out a little too slowly. However, the boys found their rhythm, played some good hockey, and finished the tournament with a strong performance. Looking back at the tournament as a whole, I think we can be proud of what we achieved. We started well, had to deal with a few losses and some injuries along the way, but the team showed great character throughout the competition.”
Ján Ďurický (AUT): “It’s a very difficult game to evaluate because it was the one that decided our fate in the tournament. Mentally, I think we were well prepared, but the demanding schedule and the intensity of the competition eventually caught up with us. As the game went on, we ran out of energy, started making more mistakes, and our opponent took advantage of them. We also couldn’t capitalize on our power-play opportunities, which reflected the lack of energy in our game. Looking back at the tournament as a whole, it has been a valuable experience for our team. The players gave everything they had, and that’s something we can all be proud of. We’ve learned many important lessons that will help us prepare better in the future. For us, this tournament is the beginning of a new journey, and we want to keep building on what we started here.”
