France Advance to Division B Semifinals After Second Win Over Germany

France secured their place in the Division B semifinals with a 4–2 victory over Germany, defeating the Germans for the second time at the tournament after their earlier 6–1 win. Germany struck first and took a 1–0 lead into the first intermission, but France took control of the game from there. COACHES´ REACTIONS

Eric Golay (FRA): “The match wasn’t easy. Germany caused us a lot of problems early on, but we gradually increased the tempo and were able to take control of the game. The key moment came in the second period when we scored the opening goal, which allowed us to take control of the match. What pleased me most was the character of our team. The players kept pushing, stayed united, and that togetherness will be key as we move forward.”

Caleb Hayward (GER): “I think the guys played a really great game. When we faced this team earlier in the tournament, we felt a bit lost, but this time we came out ready to compete and gave them everything we had. The key moments were the big saves by Andre, which kept us in the game and gave the team confidence to keep fighting. What pleased me most was the complete team effort. Everyone played their role and gave everything they had. I’d also like to thank all the German fans for their incredible support. We really appreciate everyone who made the trip to cheer us on.”
