Scott Sparks (CAY): "The match was very disappointing from our perspective. We did not perform anywhere near the level we expected of ourselves, and our opponents were simply the better team. We were unable to find our rhythm or play the way we normally do. Now the most important thing is to regroup, learn from this performance, and focus on being fully prepared for Friday's game."

Ján Ďurický (AUT): "It was not an easy match for us, but from a sport's perspective it was a very good performance. We moved well, circulated the ball effectively, and managed to combine successfully, helped by the fact that our opponents were not among the most mobile teams. There were a few physical moments that raised concerns about potential injuries, but overall I was very pleased with the way the boys performed. They were mentally focused and followed the simple game plan we had prepared. Before facing Germany, we told ourselves that if we wanted to sing the national anthem after the match, we had to earn that right on the pitch. Today there were only two options. Sing the anthem or go home. The boys chose to sing the anthem."
