COACHES´ REACTIONS

Sebastien Brassard (FRA): “It was a tough game. We knew Great Britain is a strong opponent and currently sitting in second place. We wanted to battle hard and stay in contention in the group, but we had a lot of injuries. The guys fought hard, we had a short bench, and it came down to small details. Still, there are many positives – we are building every day and improving with each game. Our rookie goalie played his first match and did really well, which is great experience for him. Even in defeat, some players achieved personal milestones, so we take it as team development and move on to the next game.”

Luke Browne (GBR): “We controlled most of the game but gave away too many unnecessary turnovers and passes in our own defensive zone. Still, we are satisfied with the win and finishing second in the group, which was very important. We didn’t want to give France any momentum. We are very pleased with the players’ performance, they were excellent, but the job is not finished yet. We move on to Friday with the goal of winning medals.”
