France Comes Back Against Cayman Islands, Keeps Quarterfinal Hopes Alive

The Cayman Islands were the better team in the opening period and built a two-goal lead, which they controlled well. However, power-play opportunities for France became a key factor in the second period. The team from the land of the Gallic Rooster capitalized on one of them and cut the opponent's lead to a single goal. In the last two minutes, France played without the goaltender and managed to equalize at 2–2 just ten seconds before the final buzzer! The French ball hockey players completed the comeback in overtime. Thanks to this victory, France remain in the race for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Eric Golay (FRA): „We started the game with a plan but we made a couple of mistakes and the opponent scored. But I'm very proud of the team because they kept pushing until the end, and now we can step further for the next game. It's fantastic.
