COACHES´ REACTIONS

Antti Koskela (FIN): „Although we didn’t come away with a win, it was still an important game for us. After two tough losses, we were mentally down, but this time we showed that we can bounce back and keep fighting. Against Canada, the opening minutes were crucial and set the tone for the rest of the game. The positive takeaway is that the team regained belief in itself and played with greater confidence. Our mental response was the biggest benefit of today’s performance. Now we need to learn from our mistakes and prepare as well as possible for the next game."

Jason Cormier (CAN): „We played a very good game, even though the start wasn’t ideal, especially the first 5 to 10 minutes. After that, we got back to our game based on active forechecking, which was reflected in the result. The key moment was the first goal, after which the team calmed down and the momentum shifted in our favor. I really value the bench atmosphere, where the players constantly support each other regardless of the situation. That is one of the biggest strengths of this team for me. We will approach the next game and the playoffs with the same mindset. First we analyze the performance in the locker room, then we fully focus on the next opponent."
