COACHES´ REACTIONS
Luke Browne (GBR): “It was a good result, although I don’t think we played to the standard I would have liked. Germany made things difficult for us, and they deserve a lot of credit for the way they have approached this tournament, both on and off the floor. The key was maintaining our focus throughout the game. At times we became a little overconfident and tried to overplay situations instead of keeping things simple and getting shots on goal. The best thing about today was securing the win. Now we’ll focus on recovery, review the game, and make sure we’re ready for our next challenge against India tomorrow.”
Caleb Hayward (GER): “Overall, today’s performance was much better than yesterday’s, even if the final score may not fully reflect it. The team showed greater effort, determination, and did a better job executing our system. It was also encouraging to score a couple of goals. A key factor was the performance of our goaltender, Justin, whose saves gave us confidence and helped us believe we could stay competitive throughout the game. We were also pleased to see our goal stand, which meant we scored more goals than in any other game so far at this tournament. Our focus now turns quickly to tomorrow’s early game. We’ll concentrate on recovery, video review, and preparing the best possible game plan for the next challenge.”
