You are world champions. How does it feel?

It’s incredible. This team worked unbelievably hard to get here. A lot of people doubted us and said we couldn’t do it. Well, here we are—we’re world champions. It’s an unbelievable feeling.

What does it mean to score the championship-winning goal in the final?

It’s hard to put into words. I think you could tell from the photos—I was completely stunned. On the odd-man rush, I passed the puck to Bruno because I thought he was going to shoot. Instead, he gave me an incredible pass back, and it worked out perfectly.

Does this achievement feel even more special knowing that the United States won both the men’s and women’s World Championship titles?

Absolutely. It shows what we’re capable of as a country and proves just how strong American ball hockey really is.

Are you expecting an invitation to the White House now?

I hope so.
